Paine Art Center & Gardens Elopement-Style Wedding: Heidi & Dan
Covid-19, a tornado warning, and torrential rain – Heidi and Dan smiled through so many obstacles and it was an honor to capture their wedding day over the weekend! Like many couples, Heidi & Dan had to make tough decisions due to the pandemic. They chose to have a small, elopement style ceremony and portrait time on their original date, with a larger reception for friends and family at the same venue next year!
I was blessed to have my husband Brian second shooting for me and he got some fantastic shots and a couple of them are in this post! Can you guess which one he took of the images above? (If you said the one on the right, you’d be correct!)
In the middle of Heidi & Dan’s portrait time, we got phone alerts telling us to take shelter due to a tornado! Thanks a lot, midwest weather! So we hunkered down in the basement of the venue and I took the opportunity to sneak in a non-traditional portrait! Here’s the behind the scenes shot my husband took, followed by the final portrait!
Needless to say, it was a memorable day. I can’t wait for Heidi & Dan’s 2021 reception!
