Blush & Navy Spring Wedding: Brittany & Charlie
Brittany and Charlie got married on one of the hottest days so far this year but the heat did nothing to dampen the joy that filled their wedding day! Brittany radiated a joyful calm as she donned her mom’s wedding dress and did a first look with her dad. Then it was her mom’s turn to navigate the tricky little buttons that her sister had once helped her with years before.
Then we headed to the park where they got engaged to do their first look and portraits! I knew the wedding party would be full of laughter – Brittany and Charlie have surrounded themselves with truly fantastic friends! They gaily pushed through the heat in order to get some memorable portraits. It was in the mid 90s with not a cloud in the sky – I honestly do not know how the guys made it through in suits!
Charlie’s dad is a pastor and performed the ceremony. His challenge to Charlie and Brittany was injected with humor and as he called it, “the motherlode of all guilt trips” reminding them of the tremendous blessing of the heritage of godly marriages they had to look back on! Everything from the music they chose to the vows they said spoke to their love of God, each other, and their commitment to marriage.
You guys, Charlie and Brittany compliment each other so perfectly. He adds a touch of straightforward cynicism to Brittany’s glass half full. Together they are kind, selfless, and totally committed to each other, marriage, and future ministry.
Brittany and Charlie, it was an honor and a joy to photograph your wedding! I so look forward to seeing what God does in your lives!
